Caldey Retreats

We go to Caldey once a year to stay as guests at St Philomena’s, the Abbey’s guesthouse. It is a rare and refreshing experience. We take a theme for our time there and explore it in a range of creative ways. We have time to explore the island and to play on the beach. Meals are cooked for us and we help wash and tidy up.

We have done all kinds of things over the years, and we make it suitable for all ages. There is always the opportunity to experience worship in the Abbey at Compline and, if we’re lucky with weather have communion on the beach on the last night. It is a lovely experience.
