Beulah Garden

Our garden is owned and managed by the church and is open to the public. It is a haven for both people and wildlife. Please come in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings!

We have focused on developing our garden as a community garden with a strong emphasis on sustainable gardening principles. We were successful in being awarded Green Flag status as a community garden in 2021 and have re-applied successfully for the last three years. We have installed a bird box, bug boxes and hedgehog boxes and this year we plan to take part in the RSPB bird survey in January and a moth count in July.

We have strong links with the Mens’Sheds group that meets in the adjoining garage workshop and who have helped us with construction of our compost heaps, planters, and seat maintenance.

We are particularly keen to encourage our young people to get involved and Junior Church grow (and sell) vegetables including potatoes, beans, rhubarb, courgettes, flower seeds (Cosmos) and herbs in the garden.
