Eco Church SHOW THE LOVE In 2021 and 2022 Beulah took part in the Climate Coalition’s Show the Love initiative in February. Each year across the UK Show the Love grows public support for climate action through local events and green heart craftivism. Despite still being in lockdown in February 2021, we wanted to encourage church members to create green hearts to hang around our Pastorate churches. By making, wearing and displaying green hearts and by sharing green hearts with our MPs we could raise awareness and call on our politicians and government to take urgent and ambitious action, especially ahead of COP 26. Junior Church created some wonderful hearts, and we displayed all our green hearts in the Canolfan windows. In 2022 we wrote ‘messages to tomorrow’ on our green hearts. Marianne designed a template which people could colour in and write on. The message could be a pledge to make a purely practical lifestyle change to reduce carbon emissions or it might express a hope for a future which addresses climate change. Anna McMorrin MP and Julie Morgan MS came along to support our campaigning.
